Product Engineer (f/m/x)

At Arbio, we're building an AI-native property management platform for short-term rentals across Europe. We manage real properties in Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna, and Leipzig (and more new cities coming soon). We raised a €36M Series A and we are ready to accelerate.

We have a lean 5-people engineering team, but the impact is massive. This role sits at the center of what we're building next: agentic AI systems that observe, decide, and act on real-world property operations, with humans in the loop where it matters.

What you will do:

• Own features E2E, understand the business so well that you’re able to figure things out yourself.

• Bring our legacy system up to par to what we need in 2026 and redesign our data structures.

• Design and build agentic AI workflows: systems that handle guest communication (chat and voice), operational decisions, and property tasks with increasing autonomy.

• Communicate with our internal teams. Shadow real workflows to uncover inefficiencies, workarounds, and hidden steps. Turn messy processes into clean software.

Important: You own problems, not tickets. You scope, ship, and iterate. Product thinking is not optional here.
High-agency and high-ownership is the mentality we’re looking for.

What we are looking for:

• You have "been there and done that" before. In other words, you have experience and you can show it during the hiring process.

• You have product taste. You care about user experience not only the visuals, but also the wording of a text message sent by an agent.

• Someone who can PM themselves. You plan your own work, communicate progress, and flag blockers without being asked.

• Operate with extreme urgency to ship, while knowing what can safely break and what must not.

• Communication is natural to you. You know how to talk and you ask the question that is needed to move forward.

• You live in the agentic engineering way of working (Claude Code, Codex, and so on). Multiple terminals open and agents running in parallel is your normal way of building.

• You thrive in a small, accountable team. Focus on delivering results rather than meetings and politics.

• You are open to move to Germany and come to our Berlin office from time to time.

• Bonus point:

  • Founder mentality. You aspire to be a founder one day, or have previously founded a startup.

Tech Stack

React + Express Backend with Typescript, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, AWS Infra. Also, we use Linear, because nobody deserves Jira. Most of this stack should feel familiar to you. We will help you to pick up the ones that are new to you.

Interview Process:

1. Application Review - we read every single application.

2. Intro Call - mutual fit, expectations, your background (15-30 min).

3. Technical Deep Dive - architecture thinking, past projects, how you solve problems (60 min).

4. Case study + Founder Conversation - work on a real problem with the team (2-3 hours). On the same day, have chat with our CEO for a vibe-check.

5. Offer - if everything goes well, you get the offer ASAP. If you got at this stage, but not approved, we’ll have a dedicated call to discuss why it wasn’t a fit and how you can improve for next time. We value your time.
